we got temporary dreams for our last names
we clock in for the cheque but we don’t wanna go
we got temporary dreams for our last names
we clock in for the cheque but we don’t wanna go
Randomly selected cause I fit the demographic of youthful disillusionment: there’s no confusion here. Darker skin than the one one that’s patting me down, not dark enough to not appropriate this sound. I'm feeling like right in the middle I rid my verses of curses lest an employer doesn’t reason a visa or working permit. I’m making eye contact she warns me she might send me back despite the fact that I can see my gate, it’s like a metre away! No wait first I need her to say why I’m being treated this way - come on, I told my name, I told you my age: I'm only seventeen and I displayed an array of papers before you even asked for them, for I know what happens to them that don’t submit. They don’t tolerate rebellion you either fitting in or quitting your criticisms they noted, but they ignored. You devoted? Uh-huh, sure. You told me that you was bored, that the only reason you needed to get on that plane was to avoid a little blame cause you did not get your way, you think it’s embellished cause you telling this through a song?
Your psyche irrelevant, give a fuck of your mental health - if your legs aren’t broken you can help yourself.
No matter if you just want a path, you just wanna laugh. And lord forgive you for burning through all that reefer. You preached your peace but you left piecing your pleas until you deliver... you sober now so you asking why repercussions dramatic, you putting your faith in tactics but the tactile are reprimanded! At least you in touch with your self? You passive but need your health - you ain't too far from housing the cards that you have dealt. You faded in heart, ventricles succumb to dark. You searching under rock and stone and flint and steel to spark a spark of light in a tunnel that’s extinguished by the air around you.
Thats the end of my reflection of a system that perpetuates the victim in everyone; this my lesson for everyone, so take notes!
you, can’t save them all
you, you you you, you, can’t save them all, no
and I
don’t feel the same at all
